Just keep swimming.

I have seen all the Pixar movies about oh, as many times as most 2 1/2 year olds who have been watching them over and over again, since they turned one. Because of my son, of course. I find them a bit more enjoyable than the Baby Einstein videos. Not that I don't see the value of the Baby Einstein videos. Oh, I get it. It's just that if you have to watch a movie for a year and a half, which one do you really want to see between these two? Finding Nemo or Baby Galileo (which for those of you who did not jump onto the Baby Einstein Bandwagon, is a video that shows real life clips of stars, the moon, planets and anything else that has to do with space, all played to classical music). I have seen Finding Nemo, probably more than Baby Galileo, so often, in fact that I had never noticed, before today, that the reference, to "just keep swimming" is referenced A LOT in the movie. I thought it was just spoken once by Dori to Marlin when they are swimming into the depths of darkness after the diver goggles. But, it's spoken quite a bit, and because I have the time to count, I did. And I'm wondering if anybody else out there knows the correct answer too? If you do, send me a comment and pitch your best guess. I'm guessing, "just keep swimming" is the overall moral of the story that all us parents are supposed to take away with us. Not bad advice, really. Considering the alternative. Sinking.

I just wanted to also give a shout out to my friend Doc W. Thank-you for the beautiful e-card and the lovely words that totally warmed my heart. I'll pass them onto you all. "Friends give acceptance and love. Be who you are."

Thanks for all the love and acceptance - It's nice knowing I can just be me. It reminds me of a song I saw on (of all things!) Jack's Big Music Show. The chorus is called, "It's good to be me." I like that. It's good to be me.
