MORNING SICKNESS
I found a great cure, albeit temporary, for "morning sickness". I don't know about any of the rest of you pregnant women out there, but I have morning sickness during the following hours: about 45 minutes after I wake up (actual vomiting if I haven't eaten within 15 minutes upon waking) until the moment I am actually asleep and no longer conscious of my stomach woes. Anyway, a few great cures I've found:

1. Eat a little snack about every hour. Don't eat what sounds icky, which includes almost everything that sounded yummy the day before when you went grocery shopping. I know. Perplexing, isn't?

2. Don't drink water. I LOVE water. I should say I LOVED water. But I can't drink it without puking my guts out. I drink milk. I can drink fountain drinks. The bubbles really seem to help. And my new favorite drink, is half grape juice, half diet sierra mist. The sugar from the grape juice seems to mask the gagging flavor of the diet sierra mist and the diet sierra mist gives the grape juice that wonderfully calming bubble effect as well as muting the overpowering taste of the grape juice. I know, perplexing, isn't it?

3. Eat Panchero's Grilled Chicken burritos, black beans and rice, just a little cheese and little sour cream. Pefecto! The one meal I could actually finish and I kept it down! I'm sure by tomorrow, it won't work for me anymore. I don't know why, but all of the food in my house, makes me puke, but if I go out, I'm fine. Definitely perplexing, I know.

4. Have your two - year- old help you make homemade pizza and you will gobble it up just like you did the Panchero's. I know, I just said, I can't eat anything at home, and this sounds contradictory, but I have no other explanation, except that the homemade pizza seems to be the exception to #3. I made the dough. My son spooned on the sauce, splattered the mozzarella and parmesan and then very carefully placed pepperoni over every available spot on the pizza. Not only did this entertain my son, more than his entire room of toys, but it seemed yummier, because it felt like HE MADE IT, not me. Just for those of you who think, I'm insane for letting my two - year - old cook, I would like to point out that I was the one who put it in the overn and took it out of the oven.

Anybody have any milk or grape juice? I'm out of both already. Maybe I need to go back to the store and buy a whole bunch of food that looks good in the store, but makes me puke when I eat it.
